Enthusiasts of vintage radio as well as fans of the Sons of the Pioneers will enjoy The Teleways Transcriptions, a collection of radio shows recorded in 1947, including intros, humorous between-song patter, and instrumental interludes for the reading of sponsors' messages, not to mention the accomplished playing and harmonies of the Sons. The material ranges from Western, sacred and sentimental songs to novelties and "ethnic" numbers. Unlike many radio transcriptions, on these shows the Sons perform complete songs rather than excerpts.
