The ART MASTERS story

Art Masters - a success story.

In 2013 I`ve started with a new series called "Art Masters". The very first book was dedicated to Vincent van Gogh. Slowly but surely this series grew into a collection of 200 books and 85 DVDs, which are sold via Amazon. After 100 episodes I`ve decided to stop this series, but then Kipepeo Publishing came into life and we`ve continued.
This might not be a lot for big companies, but having sold approx. 5000 items of this series within the last 3 years is an achievement I`m proud of. Yes, it is hard work, sometimes I just want to give up, but I love what I`m doing too much to do so.
Kipepeo Publishing will change a few things during the next few months, but you can be sure to get additional volumes of this series. And ... we have already started with it as a new addition - digital DVD downloads via our own website. We may never publish "bestsellers", but that doesn`t matter. As long as we are able to make just one person happy with our books and DVDs, then we have reached our goal. ... Be blessed everyone.

Leaving Amazon - continuing here

Kipepeo Publishing is slowly but surely moving away from AMAZON. We are not satisfied with the huge amount of money they take to have our items on offer. In addition, their printing company CreateSpace (which printed our books, CDs, and DVDs) didn`t provide the quality we were hoping for, and their services in general got worse over the last few years.

We will not remove the items on offer there, but we will not add any new items to Amazon.

Instead, we are offering items now directly from our websites. This will mainly include CDs and DVDs. For printed books, we will only continue in a much smaller quantity than we did on Amazon. But this is for the futures because we believe that our future is in digital products.
We are now able to offer you similar items for a fraction of the price that Amazon has charged you.

Our main websites, which covers most of the Amazon listings are:

Kipepeo Music
Kipepeo Books

Kipepeo Publishing has now added additional websites to represent our "future".

These websites only have a few items yet, but they will grow rapidly within the next few weeks.

Please bookmark the following pages:

Kipepeo Country Music Archive
Kipepeo Classical Music Archive
Kipepeo Art Archives

A few more sites will follow, like "Jazz Archive" and "African Music Archive". Links will be provided via our main music page as soon as these sites are available.

For now, Everlyne Songoi and I like to thank all of our Amazon customers for their amazing support and encouragement throughout the years. We hope that you will follow us to our websites.

Best regards,
Kipepeo Publishing

"Party Records"

Vintage 78 rpm 'Party Records' that were not legal to buy, sell, or possess when they were made. They all include racy stories with profanity that was illegal to put on recordings back then.

Not very raunchy by today's standards, though many of them are offensive and politically incorrect, again by today's standards.

This was Barbirolli's second Columbia session with the New York Philharmonic; the first, on March 27, 1940, had produced a recording of Brahms' Second Symphony, which I have uploaded elsewhere.  The second session also produced a recording of Smetana's Overture to "The Bartered Bride" (record No. 19003-D).  In between these two Barbirolli-New York sessions, on April 4, occurred Stravinsky's first recording session with the Philharmonic, producing recordings of his "Rite of Spring" (set M-417) and the suite from "Petrouchka" (set X-177).
